You kill the flying bugs in the Misty Gorge for the Translucent meat.

There is a room in the lab in the middle of forgotten foret that has a siwtch with no aparent purpose. Does anyone know what it is for?

ok, so I found onemore moonstone in the forbidden forest.

You know how there's a save point in the middle of the forest? well, to the left, there's a gate and a large earthen barrier on top. Now, this requires a lot of practice with jumping techniques, Normally, your jump height can get to you stick a spear anywhere, but in this particular case, the normal jump point is too low to stick a spear into the side of the barrier. You need to get a step up and face the gate (facing left) and get as far onto the edge of the surface as possible facing left. Now, in order to stick a spear onto the side of the barrier, you need to hit jump key first, and then hit the right movement key to jump away from the barrier while facing it. stick a spear onto the side as low as possible. Do the same jump trick again to get onto the spear from your original jump point. After that, you should find a pot with a moonstone on top.

how do you go up the first big hill in forgotten forest? I tried mostly everything,

@Walkernator, Here's more spoilers:

you need to collect enough moonstones and give them to fran. I think 30? in any case, the teleporter in his house will be active some time afterwards that will transport you to a hut on top of the cliff.

I found the hidden area in the Prince's Tower at the top and the arrows drop down way too fast. Especially with the not so good ladder controls (jumping on ladders doesn't happen right away and is too fast to time it) it should be a bit easier to go through. Is there supposed to be some required items for this?

Also change the controls to make the jump button the same one as the button for climbing a ladder like all the other games do. The side arrows in the previously mentioned hidden part of Prince's Tower also provide no challenge but only need of luck. They should be removed IMO.

@Necro,

could you be more specific about the secret area? Is this the place above the prince's sleeping quarters?

How do I get through the Forgotten Forest?

Where can I find the metorites?

@knife23- That is exactly what I'm talking about, but you need the boots too to get there.

@Necro, Hm... I think if you try sticking spears along your climb, you can have fall back points that make climbing less of a hassle? Don't quite know. Haven't completed that section yet.

Does anyone know how I can get through the Forgotten Forest? I'm stuck at the enterance.

@Necro, Yup, it's still a pain to go up the ladders, but putting spears on the walls definitely made it easier. Get hit by an arrow? just fall down onto a spear and try again so you don't have to climb all the way back up.

@dominic1369
You're going to have to collect 30 moonstones first, if you want access the forest.

Finally got all 40 moonstones. It's 30 to unlock the Forgotten Forest and Hidden Village, but there are 34 total before the Forest and Village. 5 in the Forest; 1 from trading a gold bar to a harpy in the Village.

If you're still looking for Moonstones, my advice is to re-play all the levels, and DON'T MISS ANYTHING. In particular, Mur and Dreadlands are the trickiest to comb, so pay special attention to them. You might also be missing the Farmer's Block (1 moonstone), a location you unlock through doing quests at the Wall.

Only thing I have to wonder about now is 3 missing Ruby Hearts, the 42 medal, and the Last Song medal... and the chicken food, which I'm starting to think isn't even a quest.

@flanhandle, can you tell me where you got your last moonstone?

Well, everyone's last moonstone is gonna be different, but my last moonstone was on the left side of Prince's Tower, not too high up, balcony. It's the floor with the timed switch and lots of bridges. It's one of the more obvious moonstones; not sure how I missed it the first time through.

@Flanhandle

is it before the save point? if so, how many levels before the save point?

I need goo from a flying cave jelly for the potion quest. Where can I find them?
